Period: Tang Dynasty, China, 618 to 907.

Size: This beautiful statue is approximately 15" in height.

Condition: Excellent, original legs with minor expert repair, color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age.

Description: This is an excellent Tang Dynasty tomb pottery horse and rider. This horse is very masculine with a beautiful detailed mane, tail, and hooves. The rider is very detailed as well. It is a wonderful piece of tomb pottery of this age in time.
