Spectacular Tang Dynasty Polo Player With Oxford TL

Period: Tang Dynasty 618 to 907, China.

Size: This statue is approximately 13 1/2" in length and 12" wide.

Condition: The statue is in beautiful condition with good original pigment still remaining. Professionally restored legs not visible to the eye. Color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age.

Description: This is a very beautiful male polo player on horse back. During the Tang Dynasty polo games were popular. The player and the horse are both beautifully sculpted.
