Excellent Pair of Han Dynasty Tomb Pottery Cocoon Jars

Period: Han Dynasty, China, 206 BC to 220 AD.

Size: These beautiful jars measure approximately 12" tall and 14" at its widest point.

Condition: Good, Color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age.

Description: These wonderful cocoon jars are made of gray pottery. They are decorated with various colored pigments. They are decorated with geometrical designs around the body of the jars. They are very beautifully sculpted. They are also known as wine jars.
