This cheese dome was made by Minton of Stoke; Staffordshire England circa 1900. The coloring of this piece was inspired by “Oriental” design, specifically Imari Porcelain. The floral under glaze pattern was hand painted with iron red enamel that was applied over the glaze.

The tall and shapely vase is flanked by handles that reinforce the art nouveau style. The body has a gorgeous lady with a ¾ length portrait. The figure is adorned with jewels in her hair and is wearing a white gown with flowing shoulders. The young woman gazing on to a pinky colored rose. This portrait is framed in gold while the other areas of the body have a blue green color that is spotting and mingles with a yellow green...
The wash pitcher may be lacking the basin but this is still a stunning piece for display, iced beverages or a floral bouquet. The paneled topped with scalloped rim is transfer decorated with alternating panels with a floral motif in the esthetic movement style. The scalloped edge with reticulated basket weave border is embellished with scrolling foliage in relief all framing a round center with a rope twist checkerboard. The dish is raised on a squat base decorated in a similar manor. The verso has two cobalt blue marks, one round divided by an “X” with and “H” in one section a “D” in another a “Co.” in another and an “&” in the last section...
The plate is decorated with shades of medium blue. The border is comprised of scrolling foliage and clusters of flowers framing the idyllic rocky landscape with sheep grazing bellow a manor house. The verso is marked “England” and a blurry company logo.

The plate is molded with a shallow well and twelve sides. The generous band is decorated with a basket weave design and is punctuated with three reserves centered by an urn. The gourd shaped body is decorated with a cobalt blue ground and large scaled scrolling acanthus leaves in white and light blue that frame an orange with scattered green leaves.

The oval plaque depicts a contemplative angel resting one hand on its chin and the other supporting itself on a draped table. The plaque is unsigned and housed in a reticulated brass frame enhanced with a bright cut technique of scrolling foliage...
The scalloped oval form has a raised rim in scrolling foliage with a reticulated border. The underside is unmarked.

The wide rim on the lobbed bowl is reticulated with alternating heart and oval designs with embossed foliate design. The rim has a raised edge that leads to the center of the bowl. The underside is unmarked

The round plate with a shallow well has a reticulated border of stylized flowers, hearts and discs. The rim of the plate has a delicate beaded border. There are no markings.

The generous cup with a soft pink ground is centered by a black reserved with a classical bust of a woman framed by gilt tracery. The saucer corresponds with the same color and trimmed in gold. The verso of the cup is stamped with the number “8”.

The tulip shaped top sits above a cylindrical body flanked by a pair of angular handles. The body is decorated with flowing lings creating various and sensuous reserves in a soft mint green and blues. The globular form is softly painted in greens, pinks and blues. The verso is signed “Margaret H.” There are no other identifiers on the jar, however many of these pieces are decorated by American women from blanks that were produced in France.

The cylindrical form is hand painted with a soft green ground and painted with a field of daisies and foliage. The jar is surmounted by a conforming domed lid in the same green and centered by a scrolling handle in gold. The bottom of the jar is marked “T&V, Limoges, FRANCE” and has a hole to assist in removing the jam jar from the container.
