This is an elegant addition to any dinner table. The round platter has a scalloped rim with a green pin striped band and a green grape leaf border with scrolling tendrils and various sized leaves. The reverse is marked with Meissen's blue cross sword. I believe this piece is transfer and hand decorated.

An American Woman of leisure probably painted the lovely plate. The plate consists of a strawberry vine full of foliage, berries, and blossoms. The plate is trimmed in gold and signed (not legible). The bottom is marked “J & C, Lousie, Bavaria.”
Size: 9 1/8” diameter
Each plate made of a hard paste and molded with a scalloped rim with a raised foliate design. The center is embossed with “C” scrolls, foliage, and flowers. The plates are picked out in gold and blue. The reverse is marked with Meissen logo of cross swords along with a hand painted “25”.
Condition: Good, wear to gilt, plated pictured
