The hinged octagonal presentation boxes open to reveal a fitted interior that nicely holds a pair of salt cellars and spoons. The cellars have a ruffled rim over an engraved body while the spoons are simple with a square handle terminating into a ball finial. The pieces are not marked.

The practical fork for pickles or other condiments is in the form of a trident and has an elegant mother of pearl handle. The strap work between the pieces is usually sterling silver; however, this ribbed strap is unmarked.

The large ladle is perfect for punch. The handle is made up of a pair of tiger lily blossoms leading to “c” scrolls and a single blossom. The handle is also monogrammed HDR with the verso marked “Reed & Barton.”

The long and broad handle is crafted with a subtle detail of “C” scrolls framing a flowing monogram “WF”. The handle leads to the deep shell shaped and perforated bowl. The verso is marked “Y&T” and although the firm is unknown I have seen the mark referenced as a New York firm.
