The ewer hand made with a small flaring rim over a long neck over a straight shouldered form of tapering cylindrical form has an applied exaggerated handle terminating in scrolls. The body is decorated with chased designs of leaves and flowers.

A silky ground with metallic embroidery of flowering branches and perched birds framed with similar work. The blossoms and birds are embroidered with blues, pinks and greens. The textile floats within the frame with a silky mat and back in a fleshy pink color.

The molded figure with flowing robe is holding a large lotus blossom. She is supported and raised on a round base decorated in relief with scrolling stems leading to blossoms and leaves. The verso is stamped in red “CHINA.” The figure also has an adjustable hand. Figure is photographed on teak base that is not included.
