A Stoneware Saki Cask, Japanese 20th Century

Cast in the form of a barrel the top is designed with a short neck and is flanked by loops for a bamboo or rush styled handle that is no lacking. The body is molded with strap work and is hand decorated on the front with characters and stylized flowers. The front is also designed with a port to place a spicket or cork to release the Saki.

A Set of Three Nesting Jars, Polychrome Glaze, Japanese, 20th Century

The three tapering cylindrical jars of graduating sizes have a flat lid glazed in the same shades of mustard yellow, sky blue and shades of green. The molded jars have a ribbed surface in the middle and at the base. The pieces are unmarked and are probably Japanese circa 1950.

A Scalloped Imari Plate, Japan, 20th Century

This shallow bowl/plate epitomizes the classic Imari porcelain style. The elegantly scalloped edges are gold rimmed.
