This iconic film, Metropolis is a 1927 German expressionist science-fiction film directed by Fritz Lang. The film was written by Lang and his wife Thea Von Harbou. This poster is marked on the bottom “Printed in West Germany by Dembach-Templin” and Premier Poster Metropolis 1926, Special Print Museum of Modern Arts New York.” The large scale poster is dramatic in its use of black and grays as it depicts a Sci-Fi clad woman with vibrant red lips.
