A 1950’s Ceramic Tile Wall Piece By Harris Strong

We are proud to offer this fabulous Modern Art tile wall piece by well noted artist Harris Strong. In 1950, Strong and his wife opened “Harris G. Strong Inc.” in Brooklyn New York. Shortly thereafter, they hired a staff of over 30 people to help meet the demand for his artwork. In 1960, he received the International Design Award from The American Institute of Decorators for a 30 foot free standing ceramic wall in the Waldorf Astoria, NYC. This piece is hand painted and high fired. The twelve 6” x 6” tiles fit together to depict a modern still-life which may have been inspired by the cubist movement. It has a 1” aluminum frame and 2 ½ “ wide walnut on the top and bottom which frames the artwork beautifully.

Size: 36 ½” wide x 17 ½” high x 1” deep

Condition: excellent

Price: $495.00
