| Very unusual beautiful bracelet in sterling with small prong set openback stones in pink and green. Circa 1920 or earlier, and marked STERLING. The green stones look like genuine stones, with inclusions, and are probably some kind of chalcedony. The pink stones are probably glass or synthetic rubies. The stone settings are engraved to create a star effect. It has very fine patination (tiny marks and scratches from long use) evenly distributed over the surface, giving it beautiful character. Substantial at 52 grams. Nice size -- 1 inch wide and 2 5/8 inches inside diameter. Very good condition. There is some kind of plating, rhodium or other white metal, which has some wear. This is pictured in a closeup but not noticeable when worn since the underlying silver matches the plating. Photos enlarged to show detail. Display form is lifesize. | ||||||||||
