Gorgeous vintage circa 1970 couture pendant necklace in dark gunmetal color, with an 18th century style pendant, double sided, with brilliant colorless strass stones and large dark red rhinestones, all set with "dogtooth" prongs, on a matching chain with spring ring clasp. Probably French. With many elements of French jewelry by Countess Cis, Cissy Zoltowska, including the dark gunmetal color, the dogtooth and crown form prong settings, and the piecrust back of the top of the pendant. The two sided design element is very French, as is the double link chain with very fine rope twist engraving. Heavy and top quality. Chain is 24 inches. The pendant is 2 3/8 inches long with bail, 1 1/4 inches wide and 3/4 inch deep. Excellent condition. All stones are brilliant and better than the photos. One or two spots of slight loss to gunmetal finish on chain are not noticeable at a short distance. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail.
