Beautiful antique Renaissance revival necklace in gold washed silver with garnets, wired genuine seed pearls, and glass cabochons simulating Persian turquoise. Austro Hungarian, very late 19th century. Marked with crown symbols in a cartouche and also marked S in a cartouche.

Substantial at 50 grams and drapes beautifully. Fabulously ornate in design; even the jump rings connecting the links are decorated with a tiny silver beaded rosette. With a slide clasp and safety catch. A stunning and very wearable piece.
