Beautiful French beaded necklace with beads made of glass, glass based faux pearls, antiqued brass, carved stone, and resin. Circa 1970, in the tradition
of older French beaded necklaces dating from the 1920s and 1930s. From the estate of a serious glass collector. I am currently listing a very similar
French necklace from the same collection, from about 1940, with a similar mix of glass, metal, stone, and celluloid beads. This piece has dozens of
different French (and some Italian) beads, in pastel colors. It has a goldtone hook clasp. The largest beads are about 20 mm long/wide. 17 inches wearable length and it drops about 3 inches in the center. Excellent condition. Photos enlarged to show detail. |
