Fabulous chunky five strand chain necklace in matte goldtone by Karl Lagerfeld, who, in addition to his role with Chanel, has designed under his own name since the 1980s. There are three rope form chains and two with an applied beaded design. The hook clasp is in the form of two very dimensional and detailed handbags. The handbags have the KL logo on the front, and one is marked KL on the back. Circa 1990. I am selling the matching earrings in a separate listing. Perfectly on trend with the glam, edgy look of the metals, chains, and studs which are all over the runways and fashion magazines. Wearable length is 20 1/2 inches. 1 5/8 inches wide/thick.
