Offered is a late Meiji hand crafted Japanese Ikebana bamboo basket on knotted root base ca 1900. The piece is from the Thomas Buechner (1926-2010) Estate. Buechner was a former director of the Brooklyn Museum and founding director of the Corning Museum of Glass. The basket and base measure (H) 11 1/2" x (W) 12" x (D) 7 1/2" and are in very good condition with no damage noted.
