Offered is a Sam Scott drip glaze stoneware ball vase measuring 11 3/4'' x 10''. This early career wheel thrown ball form with speckled gray and brown drip glazes shows the influence of Robert Sperry, his professor at the University of Washington from which he graduated in 1975. The piece is in excellent condition and signed in glaze on the bottom as shown. Offered is a sophisticated studio pottery egg form vase with volcanic glaze by Bellingham, Washington potter, Brian O'Neill. The vase measures 7 1/4" tall x 5 1/2" wide. It is in excellent, original condition with no chips, cracks or glaze scratching and is clearly marked "O'Neill" in incised script on the bottom. O’Neill has been accepted into the Smithsonian Craft Show for 2015 which is widely regarded as the country's most prestigious juried show and sale of fine American craft.
