| Offered is a square bisque porcelain 'LE MIDI' BOWL with undulating rim designed by Gilbert Portanier for Rosenthal Studio Line circa 1987. The hand painted interior features glazed and unglazed abstract designs with gilt accents. The piece is signed "Portanier" in one corner of the bowl by the artist and stamped on the underside of the base with the artist’s signature and the Rosenthal marks. The bowl is 13 1/2" wide, 3" tall and in excellent condition. Gilbert Portanier is a well-known French sculptor, Painter and illustrator. His works reflect a Mediterranean delight, inexhaustible imagination and subtle technique. | ||
