| Offered is a steel quad-base planter or catch-all with a genuine unmarked Mid Century Gainey ceramic pot. The pot and stand measure 11.5 inches tall and14 inches across. The shallow tapered semi-gloss classic satin-white ceramic pot measures 6 inches tall by 13.5 inches wide. The solid-steel base has been sandblasted and powder coated gloss black with new rubber feet. The pottery planter is perfect and undrilled with no chips or cracks and is usable indoors or out. In 1949 John Gainey purchased the pottery company where he had been working, as it was going out of business. Throughout the years, Gainey produced ceramic containers to the retail garden centers across the country. With the growth of the interior plant industry, Gainey Ceramics pioneered beautiful yet functional plant containers, becoming the choice of professional architects, landscapers, interior and exterior designers. | ||
