|Offered is a sought-after Superia desk clock manufactured by Kienzle, the famous German clock manufacturer, in the 1950’s. Made of a brass ring enclosed on both sides by crystal glass plates, the design of this clock is extraordinary. The front glass is clear and the back is a thick piece of transparent blue glass. The case is Silver and Gold plated. The movement is a mechanical 8-day movement with 15 jewels that was primarily built for aircrafts and automobiles. The clock is in very good condition, works perfectly and keeps accurate time. It is 7" tall by 6" in diameter. This is a magnificent example of late Art Deco Mid Century design. The last photo is of a page from a 1950’s Kienzle catalog. The clock is number 34/3671|
