Offered is a limited edition Julio Le Parc serigraph titled “S-14-4” published in France in 1971. The serigraph is printed on coated cardboard and framed under glass. With frame the piece measures 28 ½” x 28 ½”; the image is 24” x 24”. The print is signed and numbered (190/200) in pencil as shown in the photographs and blind stamped with the “Edition Denise René, Paris” chop. It is in very good vintage condition with an unnoticeable restored 2” tear in the upper margin. The white metal frame is also in very good condition with only slight signs of wear. Born in 1928 in Argentina, Julio Le Parc studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires. In 1958, he went to Paris, where he worked in the studio of Victor Vasarely. He was one of the founders of the ‘Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel’ with which he exhibited at Documenta III (1964) in Kassel, Germany. In 1966, Le Parc won the Grand Prize in Painting at the 33rd Biennale di Venezia, Venice.
