Offered is a pair of vintage leather and chromed steel club chairs designed by Robert Haussmann for De Sede and distributed by Stendig in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Each chair is 36 in.(W) x 25 in.(H) x 32 in. (D) and is in very good vintage condition. The chairs have been recently reupholstered in gray leather; the chrome has only age appropriate signs of wear and use. Born in 1931, Swiss Architect Robert Haussmann studied architecture and interior design with Bauhaus master Johannes Itten and De Stijl founder Gerrit Rietfeld. His furniture is characterized by balanced proportions and clean lines.
