Clay drapes like rusted steel forming this intriguing ichirin-sashi vase by Terada Minoro enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The piece is five inches diameter, the same height and in excellent condition. Minoru was born into a potting family in Seto city in 1936, entering into the BizanToen Ceramics facility in 1958, where he worked and studied for 10 years before establishing his own kiln. He is held in the Stockholm National Museum, among others. |
