An interesting form of two adobe monoliths at odds with each other by Kobayashi Hiroyuki enclosed in the original signed wooden box Titled "Kaiki " (Regression). It is 6 x 9 x 12 inches (150 x 237 x 32 cm) and is in fine condition.
Born in Manchuria in 1944, he was raised in Kobe. He graduated as an oil painter from the prestigious Tama Art University in 1967, but switching courses, moved to Shigaraki in 1969, opening his own kiln there in 1974. He has exhibited with the Nihon Togeiten national Ceramics Exhibition, Nihon Dento Kogeiten National Crafts Exhibtion, and Shin Takumi Togei Ten (New Masters of Pottery Exhibition) among many others as well as numerous one man shows in Japans top galleries. .
