A large Ruiza O-tsubo by Okada Teru (b. 1947) enclosed in the original signed wooden box purchased at a 2001 exhibition at the Osaka Takashimaya department Store. The entire surface has been cut with swirling facets, rising from red flame to charred dark earth. The tsubo is 16-1/2 inches (42 cm) tall, 13 inches (33 cm) diameter and in excellent condition.
