| Vivid red clay forms the thin smooth walls splattered with Shizen-yu Natural ash glaze of this unusual Tamba vase by Shimizu Masayoshi enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The vase is 7-1/2 inches (19 cm) square, 6-1/2 inches (16.5 cm) tall and in fine condition. Masayoshi (b. 1955) learned the plastic arts under the tutelage of Tamba master potter Okami Noboru. | |||||||||||
