| A deep Hada-kujira Tsutsu Chawan by Koie Ryoji (b. 1938) enclosed in the original signed wooden box dating circa 1990. The blended terracotta clay is drawn up and scraped, enigmatic marks scratched into the sides, then dipped in a pale glaze and draped with iron at the rim. The speckled Hada-kujira is a Ryoji specialty. The bowl is 4-3/4 inches 812 cm) diameter, 3-3/4 inches (10 cm) tall and in perfect condition.
