| Lino Tagliapietra is said to be the greatest living Murano master. He was the maestro that Dale Chihuli sought out to learn the Venetian secrets from. Tagliapietra was the one who executed the pieces in their combined "Venetians" series. Tagliapietra's art and mastery puts Chihuly in his rightful place as a student of the master. Tagliapietra's pieces are highly sought after and are found in great museums throughout the world. This lovely piece is from Lino's Mogambo series, a bowl decorated with parallel carmel, black, and blue rods. Design and execution Lino Tagliapietra. Effetre International, prototype 1982. Engraved signature: Talgiapietra Angelin Effetre International Murano 1990. In perfect condition, any white streaks are from the camera flash, guaranteed flawless condition. 8 1/2 inches wide.
