Amethyst carnival glass footed bowl with strong marigold iridescence. Made by Fenton Art Glass in 1911, this bowl is considered pattern #1646, also known as Peacock & Grape. Bowl sits level on a table. Measurements: 8"-9" (23 cm) diameter, 2.25" high (5.75 cm) Condition: Excellent (near mint). The color of the base is amethyst (purple). No signs of usage, wear inside or out, on edges or rim. No abrasions, roughness, or dings. No wearing away of the pattern or iridescence. No chips, fleabites, cracks or repairs. No manufacturing flaws on either the interior/exterior of bowl. No heat stress cracks, tool marks, burst air bubbles. The iridescence is even both on the interior/exterior of bowl. No diminished, blotchy and/or overly sprayed areas of iridescence on the interior or exterior surfaces. There are some sand particles and miniscule bubbles as part of the bowl process. There is tiny pitted indent holes on the exterior base of the bowl, mostly likely when drying. Very minimal surface scratches (only mentioned for total accuracy). Great bowl by Fenton, nicely scalloped. |
