Vicke Lindstrand (1904-1983), art glass designer in Sweden, made this beautiful hand blown vase in 1955 while working with Kosta. This vase is part of the Lindstrand's Unica Series and is clearly engraved "Kosta LU 2036" on its base. Beautiful bright colors of cobalt blue, emerald green and brown and black lines throughout the glass, weighing 6.25 lbs. at a height of 11 inches (28 cm) tall.
For total accuracy of condition, miniscule bite on base (last photo), tiny air bubble within one of the green ovals, and some slight superficial surface scratches, otherwise in excellent condition. This is truly a stunning and ageless piece of art glass. |
