Large Footed Vase measuring a whopping 30 cm (12 inches) tall! This double handled vase was made by PZH (Plateelbakkerij Zuid Holland) who were in business from 1898-1964 and considered one of the best pottery companies in the world. It is a very early Zuid-Holland high glaze piece, model number 666. Typical dark blue colour stylised pansy flowers. Many of these early decors did not have names and the E on the underside signifies the year 1902. Condition: Very Good, some slight age but very little crazing, no damage that I can see, some glaze wear on the handles due to where it was mostly handled. Marking: "L" on the backside, Model 666, the little house symbol (Port of Lazarus), E, Holland (photo attached of exact marking). Beautiful!!! |
