| 19th Century, Venetian Polychrome Chatelaine Scent Bottle with silver foil inclusions. The design is attributed to Murano Glass master Fratelli Toso and dates at around 1880. These little scent bottles were sold in Venice as souvenirs and are very hard to find in complete and undamaged condition. As shown in the photos, the original glass stopper is still present and since there is a small piece missing from the tip, it becomes apparent that it has been blown as a hollow form. The ornate, hinged closure shows wear to the gold plating which does not affect the display and in my opinion adds extra charm. A dark ruby, facetted glass stone adornes the top and it is in pristine condition as well. Measurements are 2.5" (6 cm) height, 1.75" (4.5 cm) width and 4" (10 cm) circumference.
