| Magnificent and rare, early 1940's Barovier & Toso Gold Sommerso picture frame with ribbed structure and rich gold fleck inclusions. Clearly marked on the reverse side with authentic paper label and embossed "Barovier Toso Murano" on the brass stand. Measurements are 13.5" (34 cm) height, 11.5" (29 cm) width and the picture insert is designed to hold a photo of 9.5" X 7" (24 cm X 18 cm) size. The glass ribbon varies in width from 2" to 2.25" (5 cm to 6 cm) and total weight for the frame is about 9 lbs. The glass is in original, pristine condition and there are no signs of damage or repair. The brass structure is without damage as well and it has a nice patina. For safe display I would recommend to have the tension of the stand adjusted and felt pads added to the glass. Questions and requests for additional photos are welcome.
