| Beautiful example of an early Seguso Vetri D’ Arte Pulegoso Glass display bowl with dark amethyst or black casing and rich gold foil inclusions. The geode form with pinched rim is quite unusual and it adds extra interest. Pulegoso Glass pieces are often attributed to Venini because of the similarity to works of Carlo Scarpa but the bowl has no signature and it most likely was sold with a foil label attached from the Seguso factory which has fallen off or was removed over the years. The bowl has been blown with great skill and it has a perfectly balanced, sculptured appearance with about 0.75 “(2 cm) thickness of rim. Measurements are 6.75” (17 cm) diameter across opening and 2.75” (7 cm) rim height. Weight 3 lbs. The glass is in pristine condition, without any damage, repair or signs of use and base has very little table wear. Domestic shipping, handling and insurance charges are $20.
