Navajo Silver and Turquoise Cufflinks circa 1940s
There is relatively little jewelry for men, so cufflinks are always a nice surprise for dressing up a good shirt. I find myself noticing that glint of unexpected metal when the sleeve of a suit jacket creeps up past the wrist and thinking, "Wow, classy!" And then I think, "Why don't I wear cufflinks more often?" I know women who wear them, too. And why not? A pair of cufflinks adds a unique touch of style that gets noticed and remembered. In the era of "tourist jewelry" made by Native Americans, cufflinks were popular, so while not a common item they are a wise purchase today for collections or as gifts for loved ones: their value certainly won't be going down. Cufflinks containing stamp work and natural American turquoise stones, as these do, are among the more desirable examples. Dimensions are: ¾ inches in diameter. Stones are 3/16 inches in diameter and a nice rich color.
