Old Santo Domingo Pueblo Turquoise Jaclas 20s
Jaclas, which means ear strings, were originally made to be worn as earrings. Later, they became an addition to what is considered to be the most traditional form of pueblo tab or nugget turquoise necklaces. This fantastic pair of turquoise jacals with shell corn pieces on the bottom and orange glass beads on the top is strung on cotton strings. Jaclas stretched out are 10 1/8 inches long. Weight is 0.75 oz. or 20 grams.
