| Virgil Vigil (Tesuque Pueblo, New Mexico) is the son of Paul Vigil. His work is very detailed, done in brighter colors than that of his father, Paul Vigil (see above). Virgil is the heir-apparent of the traditional Pueblo Dancer painters. This miniature Deer Dance watercolor was painted in 2001. Matted size is 10 ¼ inches by 5 ¾ inches; watercolor painting is 6 3/16 inches by 1-¾ inches. Awards: 2006 SWAIA Indian Market Award, category 1804 miniatures drawings. | ||
