| Published printing (Portrait of Maria Martinez, famous potter of San Idelfonso Pueblo, 1920) from original watercolor by Melody Lightfeather by the American Cancer Society to Commemorate the Native American Health Awareness week, May 18 – 20, 1984. Hand signed by the artist, see image. Featured in People Magazine, Vogue and USA Today, Ms. Lightfeather's work is owned by the past five presidents and celebrities such as Goldie Hawn, Barbara Bush, Linda Gray, and Willie Nelson. Her designs have also been exhibited at the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery. Lightfeather appeared on Good Morning America, The Home Show and more. She was also a highly skilled painter whose work has been received both nationally and internationally in worldwide competition. She is the only woman to have been accepted in the 'Le Salon de Nationale of Paris'. For all her achievements in the art world and for her 30+ years as a successful business entrepreneur, she stood as a role model in Indian country. Sadly, on September 7,2001, Melody was killed in a tragic car accident. The print is framed, but has some wear from storage on the bottom. I can send the print framed or just with matting.
