19th Century French School, '"L'optique" Peep Show,' A rare early French genre painting depicting a traveling vendor with his peep show. A unique country setting of a mother and her children viewing a display titled "Le Vrai Jesus". This work done circa 1820's is unsigned but suggests the work in style and subject of Louis Leopold Boilly,(1761-1845).
