Robbe worked with several artists (Muller, Raffaelli, Villon) in the late 1800's in the color aquatint medium. In many of his works he captures personal moments in peoples daily activities. Working in the "Belle Epoque" style his colors were soft and atmospheric.

Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes, becoming a master of the aquatint medium...
