It is pencil signed, titled and numbered. Atwood Pond is located in the Campton area of the White Mountains where Waters and his wife lived for many years. Born in China of missionary parents, he graduated from high school in Shanghai and then moved to the US to pursue his art career. After college at Dennison University he taught at UNH and the Holderness School and became an artist for NH's WPA project. He excelled at the art of wood engraving and he used the beauty of the NH landscape as his inspiration.
