Gene Kloss, American, 1903-1996, "Keresan Dancers," This is a fantastic scene of Native American dancers, which beautifully captures the energy and movement of the crowd. This etching measures 13 7/8 x 11 inches, created in 1962 in an edition of 50, is pencil signed and numbered. Kloss was born in California as Alice Geneva Glasier changing her name when she married the poet, Phillips Kloss in 1925. After traveling throughout the West they settled in Taos, NM where they found the culture and customs of the Native American Indians a constant source of creative study and growth as artists.
