Harold Kerr Eby, American, 1889-1946, "Cattle Ford". Etching and aquatint created by Eby in 1945. This image is the third of three states and was done in an edition of approximately 100. In the Giardina catalog it is #207. Kerr Eby was a remarkable printmaker and a member of the Cos Cob Art Colony and friends with many of the important artist of the day, including Childe Hassam and John Taylor Arms. Eby was known for his atmospheric renderings of the New England landscape as well as his dramatic images of WWI.
