This image is from Brangwyn's series of 6 lithographs, "Making Sailors" which was part of the series 'The Great War: Britain's Efforts and Ideals', published by the the Ministry of Information in 1917. Sir Frank Brangwyn was one of the most important British artists of the early 20th century, he was a member of the Royal Academy, the Royal Watercolor Society, and the Royal Society of British Artists, and was knighted in 1924.
