Jules Pascin, French, 1885-1930, "Le Music-Hall". This 1926 lithograph by Jules Pascin measures 10 x 12 3/4 inches, pencil signed in an edition of 35, cat: Hemin 7. Part of the edition was destroyed in the 1945 bombing of Royan. Pascin became a symbol of the Montparnasse artistic community creating mainly watercolors and prints. Drawing upon his surroundings, his subjects included nudes and portraiture of many of his friends. Influenced by Fauvism and Cezanne he exhibited 12 of his works at the 1913 Armory Show.
