This set of seven gilt cloisonne pedestal cups show enamel decoration on gilded bronze. The pieces are heavy and show archaic-style decoration including Shou characters. The cups are in very good condition with some tarnishing of the gilt interiors. Four have small slithers of missing enamel below the rim, mentioned for accuracy.

A Continental sculpted ivory model of a lady by French sculptor, Henri Varenne (1860-1933). The solid ivory figure, titled '1830', is portrayed standing in early 19th century attire. Mounted on a black marble plinth, the shaped base is inscribed '1830' and signed 'H.Varenne' to the side. There are bronze versions of this piece available on the market. The ivory is in excellent condition, the marble base has minor nibbles.

This ivory figure is of exquisite quality and depicts a man who has been sweeping outside. He is holding a leaf with a praying mantis sitting atop. The expression on the man's face is delightful. The carving and subtle staining of this piece shows a mastery of the craft.
