Height: 10.5 cm (4.3 in) Width: 16.2 cm (6.2 in) to outside of handles Width: 13 cm (5.3 in) not including handles Weight: 1.15 kg (2.5 lb) This Chinese bronze censer shows relief decoration in the form of a kneeling monk praying to a deity and on the reverse, lotus flowers and buds. The bowl has elephant head and trunk handles and stands on three feet. This is a piece made in the period of the ruler of China, Hongxian (1915-16). The mark is a transcript of his official seal. This piece has a wonderful patina and is in very good condition. |
