George III sterling silver and glass decanter set. Made by Samuel Whitford in London in 1807. Stand: Scalloped Lozenge with gadrooned border and engraved coat of arms, and rests on 4 foliate scroll feet. Holder is reeded and rests on 4 paw feet and supports ring handle with foliate ornament. Holds 4 bottles and 4 stoppers. Bottle (each): Clear glass with cut fluting and diaper pattern. Neck has sterling silver mount. Stopper is circular and fluted. Excellent condition. Fully hallmarked. Stand hallmarked by Samuel Whitford 1807. Two bottles hallmarked Birmingham 1923, and two bottles hallmarked London 1912.
