George III sterling silver berry spoon. Made by Hester Bateman in London in 1785. Tapering handle and ovoid bowl. Handle has allover engraved foliage and berries. Bowl is pierced with repoussé berries, foliage, and scrolls. Fully hallmarked. Excellent condition with tawny patina. Length: 8 ˝ in. Weight: 1.8 Troy Ounces. BJ757 |
