George IV Irish Dublin Sterling Silver Sauce Boat
George IV sterling silver sauce boat. Made by Robert Calderwood in Dublin, ca. 1820. Ovoid body with asymmetrical rim and wide lip spout, oval dome foot, and foliate scroll handle. Body is lobed and encircled with foliate garland. Rim and foot are gadrooned. Solid Georgian silverwork—sturdy enough for another century of Sunday dinners. Hallmarked. Excellent condition.
